Honey Bourbon Apricot BBQ Sauce

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

1/3 cup Apricot Preserves (see notes)

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

2 Tablespoons honey

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 Tablespoons soy sauce

2 serrano peppers, minced

1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp mustard powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 salt

2 Tablespoons bourbon


In a large skillet or pot, whisk together all of the ingredients, except for the bourbon, over medium heat.

Let simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Whisk in bourbon and let simmer for 3 additional minutes. Remove from heat.

Let cool and blend in a food processor until creamy
